Reservations: 

  • School programs conducted at Henricus require a reservation made at least 14 days in advance of the planned visit. 
  • To qualify for a group program rate, minimum group size is 8 students.
  • Chaperones:  One teacher or adult chaperone, per every 10 students, is required and admitted free-of-charge. 
  • A non-refundable $50 deposit per booked day is required (20 days prior to the event) to hold your program date.
  • Final payment is due upon arrival for on-site programs.  For Outreach Programs checks should be handed to the Museum Educator upon their arrival at your school.
  • Program cancellations must be made at least two weeks prior to the event or your deposit will be forfeited.
  • Programs will run onsite regardless of the weather.  In case of extreme inclement weather, indoor versions of the program can be held in our large classrooms.  Programs are only cancelled on the day scheduled if the requesting school district or the Park's staff determines that weather conditions are too dangerous for the group to come to the Park.   
  • Attendance numbers must be updated 24 hours prior to the scheduled program. Fees will be based upon the most recent number registered.

Fees:

Onsite Programs:

  • $6.00 per child for the first program
  • $5.00 per child for second programs (run consecutively on the same day).
  • Adults:  1:10 chaperones required – free of charge.
  • $8.00 each per additional adults

Voyage to Virginia               

  • $10.00 each per student
  • (Two-Museum Program)$8.00 per additional adult

Outreach Programs: (based upon programs run in one day)

Classroom Format:  For schools and organizations within a 25-mile radius of the Park:

  • $110 first session/$85 each additional session

  • $225 for one program (up to 100 children per assembly). 
  • $150 for each additional assembly.
