  • Assembly size requires 100 participants or fewer per session.

History Kids
Grades Pre-K(3) – K
1 hour

Participate in childhood skills of the 17th century through chores, stories and games.
Theme Choices:  Indian or English Children

Mapping the James River
Grades 1 – 5
1 hour

Learn, through maps, about the impact of the James River on the environment, people, places, and history of the area. Follow Captain John Smith’s 17th century mapping adventure.  Create a 3-D map of the future as a team-building activity.
Also available as an On Site Program.

Virginia Governments
Grades 6 – 8
1 hour

Experience, with hands-on activities, early Virginia governments (both Indian and English): social duties, civic action, communal needs and economic systems. Follow the development of early American government by establishing rules for safety, health and security and through barter, trade and exchange.

Virginia Peoples
Grades 1st – 5th
1 hour

Learn how the environment affects how people live and work together to meet their basic needs. This hands-on, team-building, problem-solving program focuses on the cultures of and interactions between the Powhatan Indians and English colonists of 17th-century Virginia.
